Agenda
- Preparation of parts for FCAL2 modules -- Sasha
- Available crystals:
- 1450 (modules)
- 32 (ready for fabrication)
- 40 (installed on CCAL) available on March 20
- (some CCAL crystals from the inner part will not be used for the FCAL2)
- 95 expect to receive from CRYTUR in May [1]
- Total 1617
- Olga brought about 200 Silicon cookies from GW. The quality is good.
- George (DSG group) finished with disassembling CCAL modules and removing LMS caps. Will work on preshaping ESR reflectors for CRYTUR. The oven will be ready in a week.
- Mindy (DSG group) solder wires to sockets (while waiting for crystals). More crystals will come from the CCAL during next week.
- Available crystals:
- Module fabrication -- Sasha
- Fabricated modules: Total 1482 (12 modules fabricated since last week)

Minutes
Attendees: Igal, Sasha, Arshak, Bill, Olga, Justin, Eugene, Liping, Jon, Zisis, Jane, S.T.
- Olga brought 200 cookies -- have enough to cover everything + some spares
- COMCAL was moved to ESB to be disassembled (as of the meeting it was slightly activated)
- 1482 FCAL-2 modules have been fabricated to date
- Design for patch panels for HV has been slightly revised, will be positioned outside FCAL dark box
- Settled on ECAL (like FCAL, CCAL, etc.0 for the name for the insert as far the translation table, etc. is concerned
- Low voltage connection to PCB revised to use locking connector
- Also no longer using unshielded ribbon cables for LV distribution
- One new PCB with new divider design has been procured -- will need to make the full order soon
- Sasha performed some tests using 3x amplification using beam -- linearity was good
- Arshak/Vlad/Sasha to meet with Dave Kashy (who worked on HyCAL for Hall B) regarding any engineering concerns/gotchas we may have overlooked
- We had a long discussion about the proposed GEMTRD test in Hall-D using the GlueX detector with the FCAL insert
- Plan revised from original 10 PAC days to a 7 calendar day test run for a small-scale GEMTRD prototype
- Much back-and-forth regarding how/when to schedule this test run during the ~212 day GlueX/JEF run period starting in 2024
- A compromise to install the GEMTRD during the winter break of the run period and run the test when the program starts back up after Christmas was proposed
- Impact of insert region for e/pi separation should be considered
- Plan revised from original 10 PAC days to a 7 calendar day test run for a small-scale GEMTRD prototype
- Arshak showed a design for the individual fiber solution for the LMS that accommodates rohacel support in the inset region
- Does the stress analysis suggest that we need this foam?
- Arshak presented pros and cons for the plexiglas and individual fiber solutions for the LMS, but no decision was made at the meeting.
