  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. Theory Update
    • Status and plans for documenting theoretical work
  4. Latest version of paper
    • calculations
    • Ilya has made small fixes to typos in the draft and checked them with Serguei. References need to reviewed and reordered.
    • Most of the work has been to make plots of the cross sections.
    • The EM FF presented many numerical challenges, but Ilya has found ways to address them
    • The main difficulties came in the limits for small q2 and small pair masses. These issues are even more severe for single pi0 production. Previously Ilya had been able to adjust calculations by hand.
    • The updated calculations make use of numerical calculations inside the nucleus where it is tractable and analytical formulas outside the nucleus that allow integrating to infinity.
    • The current calculations are under control for our experiment, but issues remain that could use further investigation including:
      • EM FF: Dependence of the absorption on the asymmetry energy between pions in the pair
      • EM FF: Atomic energy screening for very large distances (small q2)
      • Strong FF: Shadowing from gamma->rho/omega transitions which are not included in the current formulas.
    • It was decided that details of the FF calculations be included as an appendix to the current paper.
    • Elton will convert the latex of the bibliography into a bibtex format.
  5. Gevorkyan et al PRC 80 (2009) 055201
  6. Status of testing in EEL (Beni and Alex)
    • Elton presented a first glance at the data from the MWPC in the EEL.
    • A summary is posted in the Log Entry 3897845.
    • We need to sort out any hardware and/or software issues
    • The f250 and f125 clocks needs to be both distributed correctly in the crate
    • We decided to add a second scintillator below the MWPC
    • Elton, Beni and Alex will meet on Monday to check the setup
  7. CPP and NPP Readiness Review
  8. Trigger
  9. Other business
  10. Next meeting
