- FSD Detector
- Power supply status - On order, due March 2025
- Met with Survey and Alignment group and agreed on preliminary plan for alignment - will meet again as details develop
- Magnet update (Josh/Stephanie)
- Copper cooling update -
- Status of cooling sample test media:CPS Absorber cooling test sample.pdf
- Initial test without brazing
- Lead brick painting is 30% done and all due back in September
- DeGauss test December 2024 or wait until next summer?
- June - items due from ERR -
- thermal cycling report submitted - ok for now - more detail for next ERR
- Working on ANSYS transient thermal and FLUENT/CFX models
Minutes
- Discussed copper FSD detector - .5mm thick, R = 4.5 - 5.5mm, Josh will have a copper blank machined to verify
- Magnet drawing package will go to procurement by the end of the week
- Discussed CPS copper absorber cooling test - test to be done next week
- Lead brick painting 45% complete. September should have all finished
- Discussed Degauss test with Onish - He will try to find an existing power supply with reversing switch
- Magnetic shielding needed upstream of magnet
- Beamline radiator, collimator and FSD detector locations being reviewed and optimized
- Pavel used new magnet map (as designed) - it is 9% different than original
