• Preparation of parts for ECAL -- Sasha
  • - signal cables: all cables are ready. Received all needed long cables. Need to test redo 4 bundles (48 cables have been tested)
  • - signal patch panels are ready [1]
  • - HV cables: have received 50 short cables, have been testes and labeled. 440 cables are ready for installation. 36 long cables are in production
  • - HV distribution boards: Chris is finalizing design of the distribution board, should order 4 boards soon.
  • - LV cables: ordered, lead time unclear
  • - LV distribution boards. The design of the LV distribution board has been finalized (discussion with Fernando, the power regulators will not be added to the design)
  • - Optical fibers: received all
• Ongoing projects -- Sasha, all
  • - Testing and labeling cables (Recently labeled cables in boxes)[2]
  • - Prepare modules for the TAC and prototypes (using crystals with some imperfections) [3]
    • Wrapped crystals - done
    • Parts for TAC[4] - done
    • Modules for prototype (25 are ready) - done
  • - Preparation of the LMS [5]
    • - 3-D print and machine mounting plate (coupling to the integrating sphere]
    • - 3-D print support structure for gluing fibers to the mounting plate [Boby]
    • - Machined Al plate for fiber polishing
    • - Installing fibers; will start gluing soon [6][7]
    • - The LMS should be ready for the installation on the detector during next week.
  • - Install labels on the detector [8]
  • - Installation of the trigger and readout electronics
    • - 7 VXS crate, 3 HV crates, and 1 LV (Wiener) crate have been installed. Power lines will be installed in a week.
    • - Installed flash ADC, SDs, TIs. Uploaded new firmware [9]

    • - Radiation tests of the PMT active base [11]

• All long signal cables are here, 3 new bundles ready to go
• Short HV cables arriving slowly
• LV cable status unclear -- potential bottleneck?
• Production of LV distriubtino boards will happen soon
• All parts are available for construcing 3x3/5x5 module arrays
• 3D-printed parts for LMS are available, LMS ready for installation within a week
  • Arshak recommends not using UV-curing glue
• PMT divider tests continue, found 4-5 suspicious dividers
• Testing radiation hardness of PMT base components with Cs source
  • 22.3 kRad total dose (to be compared to Sasha's estimate of 5 kRad/year at FCAL face)
  • Saw failure of DC regulator chip, as observed by NPS
    • Regulator probably not needed, bypassed -> signal pulse restored
• FCAL dark room being restored, canbus daisy chain almost done
• Simon showed some preliminary rate estimates for FCAL-2 insert and potential inner-TOF veto at 900 nA
