Agenda

  • Preparation of parts for FCAL2 modules -- Sasha
    • Crystals:
Received 40 crystals from CRYTUR [1]. Remaining 55 crystals will be sent to us during this and next month.
      Wrapped crystals: 15
      Available for wrapping: 10 SICCAS + 25 CRYTUR = 35
    • George (DSG group) finished with preshaping.
    • More than 400 long signal cables received, can start checking, bundling, labeling (receive labeling machine in a couple of weeks)
    • Procurement parts for the LMS
Ordered 16,400 ft of optical fibers delivered to the lab. 7,600 will be delivered in September.
Expect to receive fiber donats in a couple of weeks (will start working on the LMS)
  • Module fabrication -- Sasha
    • Fabricated modules: Total 1533
46 modules fabricated during last week (Madison, Madylin, Hillary)
      Available for fabrication: 35
42 modules fabricated using 'low quality' crystals for the stacking mockup and 'crunch' tests.
    • Report from students
  • Testing of PMT dividers -- Sasha / Vlad / Arshak
    • FCAL2 modules with dividers installed on the CCAL [2]
    • Met with Vlad P. on Tuesday. Fine tuned the divider circuit. Checking/tuning an amplifier; Chris S. ordered some OPS.
  • Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha / Arshak
Discussion of the FCAL2 installation procedures [4]
