Preparation of parts for ECAL modules -- Sasha

    • Crystals:
      Received 60 crystals from CRYTUR [1]. Remaining 35 crystals are expected to be delivered to the Lab in May/June.
      Wrapped crystals during last week: 16
      Available for wrapping: 10 CRYTUR
    • Received 875 long signal cables
    • Procurement parts for the LMS:
      16,400 ft of optical fibers delivered to the lab. 7,600 will be delivered in September.
      Expect to receive all plastic caps for the LMS during next week
  • Module fabrication -- Sasha
  • Visual inspections of fabricated modules [2]
    -1058 modules have been checked (273 SICCAS + 785 CRYTUR) [3]
  • Testing and labeling cables
  • Removing signal cables from the FCAL [5]
  • Testing of PMT dividers -- Sasha / Vlad
    • Most parts for the active base have been arrived to the lab (including PCBs)
    • All dividers will be ordered during next week (by Chris S.)
  • Proceedures
  • Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha / Arshak

  • Received 10 more Crytur crystals + 2 more boxes
  • 16 crystals have been wrapped
  • SICCAS can send 60-100 potentially poor quality crystals
    • Jane's group can do onsite inspections of these crystals beginning of July
  • Grand total fabricated modules = 1562
    • 1055 have been inspected visually
    • Plan to test all modules using dark box
  • Sasha + students recovering cables from FCAL for reuse in FCAL-2
  • Plan to start restacking FCAL: preparations are ahead of schedule, could begin in 2 weeks?
  • Signal cables arriving at the lab
  • PMT dividers ordered, expect 4 week lead time for delivery
  • Optical fibers for LMS need to be cut and the donuts attached
