Minutes

Attendees: Bill, Sasha, Igal, Laveen, Phil, Jon, Zisis, Vlad, Stjepan, Liping, Jane, S.T.

  • All short HV cables have arrived and have been tested and labeled
  • Fabrication of long HV cables with Radiall connectors ongoing (18 out of 36)
  • Short LV cables continue to arrive, current inventory has been checked and labeled
  • Still need 250 PMT dividers; 865 have been tested
  • LMS installation ongoing at ~80 fibers/day; 1053 installed
  • Power has finally been installed for ECAL racks
    • Waiting for ethernet connection; parts for patch panel for trigger on order
  • Laveen to start working on software/xml specification for geometry
  • Igal working with Daniel L.: machine learning tools/framework
    • Phil will provide a master's student to work with Igal
  • Calibration discussion
    • Plan is to install layers of PMT dividers, make light tight and start checking row-by-row using LMS
      • Voltage calibration curves, use results from 5x5 prototype for guidance in setting HV
    • Set up self-trigger, look for cosmics
      • Might also set up scintillator paddles for triggering
    • Then with beam: Compton + pi0 events, study with MC first
