From GlueXWiki
Meeting time and location:
- 9:30 am EST (JLab time) remote only
- Connection information
Agenda
Preparation of parts for ECAL -- Sasha
- - HV long cable: Sammy and Mindy are finishing up with assembling cables, 2 cables are left
- - HV distribution boards [1][2]
- - 5 (12 x 4) and 5 (6 x 8) boards have been received. Chris checked connections. All remaining PCB boards are expected to be in the lab on Sep 12.
- - Chris is finalizing design of the distribution boxes (each box will comprise 9 PCBs). He expects to submit PR during next week.
- - Fix front panel of two LV distribution boards [3]
- - new plates for the LV distribution boards should arrive to JLab during next week. Need to re-install 2 distribution boards and connect cables
- - LED: Started testing the prototype of the LMS (need to make the detector room light tight)
Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha / Vlad / Hakob / Laveen
- Installation and testing dividers has been completed [4]
- - need to arrange cables on chains
- - need to arrange cables on cable trays
Students -- Sasha
- - Expect one student from Wuhan, waiting for the US visa
ECAL commissioning -- Sasha, All
Beam tests with the PS
- measure shower beam profile and reconstruction in the crystal/LG transition region
- (install prototype with 5x5 PbWO4 modules + ? LG)
Other hardware projects
- prototype of the ECAL veto counter (?)
Analysis/Simulation
Minutes
Attendees: Sasha, Zisis, Susan, Xiaolin, Igal, Phil, Laveen, Jane, Ilya, Liping, Axel, Bill, Stjepan, Malte, Vlad, S.T.
- Xiaolin gave a short presentation introducing herself and her group to our group
- 2 HV cable assemblies are being completed
- Chris S. received first articles of HV distribution boards, tested okay, green light given to produce the rest
- Final design of HV distribution box delayed
- LV distribution boards needed to be adjusted, waiting for 2 plates
- LMS protytype testing to resume, considering adding LEDs
- Major milestone: all PMT dividers installed!
- Velcro straps installed between chains
- Cables still need to be organized more neatly
- Spare cables added inside dark room
- Sasha started ECAL commissioning wiki page
- Run plan for detector calibration
- Use Compton scattering to start, π0 events final calibration
- Plan for rough gain equalization at ~10% level
- Run plan for detector calibration
- Plan to start work on integrating ECAL into DAQ week of 9/9/24
- Start commissioning lead glass region after collaboration meeting
- Still considering using PS setup in Hall to study shower profile, look at lead glass/pwo transition region?
- Liping brought up feasibility of reinstalling downstream muon detector (could expand JEF physics reach)
- Laveen gave an update on close shower separation studies using HyCAL simulation+code
- Bill reminded us of SULI summer student program
