Wednesday, October 6

1. In last 24 hours:
   • Target work (empty --> LHe4 cell) was completed at 17:00, and beam came back at 19:45.
     • Radiation Level: OK
     • Harp scan: looks OK
   • We took a bleedthru study run, and production runs with 200 nA beam through the night.
   • At 7:05, we started to cool down the target cell without filling with the helium. During cooling down, we are taking data with 100 nA beam.

   • Transmission dropped by about 6% (Alexandre)
2. Issues:
   • BCAL TDC occupancy non-uniformity (Mark D.)
   • One of the hall cameras cannot be opened.
3. Plan:
   • During cooling down, we continue to take data with 100 nA beam (until Sasha comes to counting house).
   • After that, we are going to fill the cell with liquid He-4, and start production at the nominal luminosity 200 nA (5 shifts).
   • After Hall A comes back in the evening, we will perform Radiation level check and Harp scan.
   • Also after Hall A comes back, we will take another bleedthru study run again.
   • For shift workers: FCAL scaler should be checked frequently.

Tuesday, October 5

1. In last 24 hours:
   • Target work (Be --> empty) was completed at noon, and we started empty target runs (200 nA, 100 nA, 50 nA). At 9:00 this morning, we will start LHe4 target installation work.
     • Radiation Level: OK
     • Harp scan: OK
   • Early Riser summary

   • Run 81383 is a short bleedthrough study run with laser OFF. See: beam structure (Beni)
   • CCAL LEDs for 200 nA and 50 nA runs (Sasha)
2. Issues and reports:
   • Beam energy drift
   • Weird time difference distribution between two FCAL clusters (Igal)
   • bg PSC coinc rate comparison with 2/2018 (Richard)
   • BCAL monitoring plot strange
3. Plan:
   • After target work:
     • Radiation level check and Harp scan
     • Should we take laser OFF data (30min) before hall A comes on line? --> Yes. Set random pulser frequency to 10 kHz.
   • Take data with empty target (He-4 gas target).
     • 4 shifts with a 200 nA beam. Do we need to take data with 100nA/50nA beams?
     • After this empty target run, we will fill the target (0.5 shift) and start production runs.
   • Hall A will come on line tomorrow afternoon/evening. --> After hall A comes back, radiation level check/Harp scan will be performed.
   • For shift workers: FCAL scaler should be checked frequently.

Monday, October 4

1. In last 24 hours:
   • We had a 5h long downtime (11:00-16:00). After that, we continued taking data with a stable 200 nA beam. At 7:00 am, we stopped data taking and target group started to remove Be target.

3. Plan:
   • After target work:
     • Radiation level check and Harp scan
     • Request a 200 nA beam and start to take data with empty target (4 shifts?).
   • Install LH4 target on Tue.?
   • Beam Studies on Tue.
   • For shift workers: FCAL scaler should be checked frequently.

Sunday, October 3, 10:00 am

1. In last 24 hours:
   • We had a 4.5h long downtime and a 1h long downtime. Aside from that, 100 nA beam has been stable.

   • There was a 4.5h long downtime (12:00 - 16:30).
     • Harp scan
   • Sasha did trigger study.
2. Issues:
   • DAQ and data monitoring
     • ROCtrig2 required 5 power cycles before DAQ started properly. (Also, Sergey was not able to connect to gluon04 from home) [1]
     • Single event display does not work
   • Beam quality (bleedthrough)
     • Beam structure (Beni)
3. Plan:
   • This morning, we will switch to 200 nA production (Sasha will come to the counting house).
   • Remove Be target to take empty target on Mon.
   • For shift workers: FCAL scaler should be checked frequently.

Saturday, October 2, 10:00 am

1. In last 24 hours:
   • We are continuing data taking with 50 nA beam and with chambers turned on.
   • Early Riser summary

2. Issues:
   • Issues with reference plots
   • Problems starting a new run (Mark/Sergey)
   • BCAL hot channel?
   • Top Alcohol Bubbler should be refilled
   • Beam quality (and chamber trips)
     • PS harp scan seems good (Hovanes) [2][3]).
     • Bleedthrough .. more likely get worse when Hall A comes on line on Wed.
     • Bleedthrough today (Beni)
3. Plan:
   • After this 10:00 meeting, we will stop 50 nA production and turn off chambers (Lubomir is on shift), then Sasha will perform rate scan (it will take 40 min). After that, we will move on to 100 nA production.
   • 100 nA CDC & FDC turn off (2 shifts)
   • 200 nA CDC & FDC turn off (8.4 shifts)
   • Remove Be target to take empty target (will take 8h)
     • On Tuesday, there will very likely be a down time (beam studies or another attempt to fix the Hall C tune mode generator).
     • Hall A will come on line on Wed. (tentative schedule)
   • For shift workers: FCAL scaler should be checked frequently.

Friday, October 1

1. In last 24 hours:
   • Beam came back around 17:40. After 2h long downtime and DAQ trouble, production runs started at 2:42 am.
     • Radiation Level: OK
     • Harp scan: OK
   • Early Riser summary

   • Main trigger normalized rate is 25% lower with CDC/FDC turned on (Alexandre)
2. Issues:
   • FCAL Trigger issue (Sasha)

   • 50 nA with CDC & FDC turn on (2 shifts), Lubomir must be around
   • 100 nA CDC & FDC turn off (2 shifts)

Thursday, September 30

1. In last 24 hours:
   • Machine maintenance ended around 21:20, but we don't have a beam as of 8:30 (injector non-colinearity, 5E03 BLM trips, ...).

   • 5 FCAL bases don't reach 1800V (Mark/Malte)

3. Plan:
   • Before taking data: check radiation level and beam quality (HARP scan)
