Wednesday, March 11
- Last 24 hours
- Vacuum valve closed: opportunistic access for CCAL and FCAL until ~3 pm
- CCAL bases replaced and closed up for TAC run with low current while Hall C is offline (3/13-3/20)
- Reports/Issues
- BCAL VME crate rebooted yesterday afternoon but random and PS pulser restarted this morning
- Slow beam drifts [1]
- New FCAL channel failure near beam hole
- Top bubbler at the add line (will be addressed today)
- RCDB error partially fixed for run 72158
- Run Plan
- Production
Tuesday, March 10
- Last 24 hours
- Pedestal run addressed BCAL hot channel, followed by production running
- Vacuum valve closed (investigation underway): Opportunistic access now(?)
- Reports/Issues
- Rates and their ratios (Alexandre)
- Energy jump (Alexandre)
- BCAL LED pulser is working [2] [3]
- Monitoring: FDC occupancy
- Reminder for Shift Leaders (Elton)
- Run Plan
- Opportunistic access for FCAL and CCAL
- Production after access
Monday, March 9
- Last 72 hours
- Issues with delivering full current to A/C. Back up now, but no RF recovery planned/available to recover gradient(?)
- Production running when beam available over the weekend
- Reports/Issues
- Rates instability: "dips" in rate on Friday evening.
- beam off to other halls showed no change to PS rate
- Harp scan taken during dip: analysis by shift crew (HALO:T:gamma) and Hovanes (HALO:T:electron) and Jay's convergence
- Since then the rate has been ~stable
- Multiple processes running to different edge fitting scripts caused fluctuations (Mark D)
- New edge fitting script in use to better monitor edge and width (Mark D)
- Collecting events before run start
- Monitoring: BCAL hot channel and in monitoring--> pedestal calibration needed (Mark)
- something weird is fixed, was a bad ADC channel (Beni)
- gluonraid2 filled up and emptied by hand (David)
- Bad data from CAEN HV and intermittent LINK alarms (Hovanes)
- Rates instability: "dips" in rate on Friday evening.
- Run Plan
- Production
- Longer term
- Hall C down for configuration change 3/13-3/20. Good opportunity for low current TAC run.
Friday, March 6
- Last 24 hours
- Limited beam yesterday morning, followed by Hall access for Solenoid VCL work (Scot/Mark)
- Steady production evening and overnight
- Reports/Issues
- Rates instability: Added additional beam positions to "default" MyaViewer
- No major instability overnight. Still plan to request other Hall beam off and Harp Scan if another "dip" in rate of 30% or more is identified by shift crew.
- Look back at other halls during previous instabilities (Alexandre)
- Fluctuating coherent edge for 45/135 PERP (Naomi)
- ρ and ω yield/trigger (almost) back to nominal values:
- something weird (Beni)
- Updated reference plots: thanks Naomi! Experts please check your e-mails. [4]
- Bad data from CAEN HV and intermittent LINK alarms (Hovanes)
- Rates instability: Added additional beam positions to "default" MyaViewer
- Run Plan (Friday + Weekend)
- May be some additional (short) injector tuning (A2 interception) today to keep Hall A's charge asymmetry down.
- Production
- Longer term
- Hall C down for configuration change 3/13-3/20. Good opportunity for low current TAC run.
Thursday, March 5
- Last 24 hours
- Beam off until Wednesday @ 5 pm for injector work
- FCAL work and restoration
- New PDU installed (Nick)
- Restoration: [5][6] (Nick/Colin)
- Solenoid Vapor Cooled Lead (VCL) temperature drop (Mark)
- Reports/Issues
- Accelerator status GUI (Naomi)
- Tagger magnet NMR signal (Tim)
- Tagger field change to photon energy calibration (Richard)
- Bad data from CAEN HV and intermittent LINK alarms (Hovanes)
- ρ and ω yield/trigger back to nominal values: e.g. Run 72076 (Alex)
- Change of timestamp (Logbook entry?)
- Rates instability (Alexandre)
- Run Plan
- Opportunistic access for solenoid work in parallel with injector tuning (1:00 pm)
- Production
