  • Send Todd a geometry of tagger area, including the mapped tagger magnet field, for GEANT simulations (Richard). Richard is working to update the defined geometry based on a drawing received from Tim, Richard will add field map from Dan Sober
  • Estimate rates and ranges of parameters needed for the photon beam tuning (Todd for accelerator; Elton, Hovanes, Eugene, Alexandre for Hall D)
    • Need rates for profiler, start counter, ps

    • p2 5b) "...strong suggestion by the committee to install several beam loss monitors inside Hall D proper"
    • p5 third paragraph proposes "The installation of a few sacrificial SiPMs in the Tagger hodoscope during the remaining beam transport commissioning activities, at the start of the next beam operations period..."
    • p7 first bullet: "Setup and tuning of photon beam into the experimental area along with monitoring of background and radiation levels. The latter has to be continuously available and cannot rely on the start of the DAQ system."
    • p8 under slow controls: "...concerned about... the motor control commissioning... Specific recommendation: Implement limit switches and/or hardware to avoid movable collimator completely out."

  1. Action Items
    1. Richard will make updates to geometry for tagger area. We need to provide him additional details about the geometry
    2. (Note added after meeting) Elton will connect Richard with Chuck to obtain the relevant geometry information.
    3. Geometry will be provided in G3 format for Todd and Pavel

    2. Richard will provide one "sacrificial" SiPM board with 15 SiPMs for checking neutron rates during electron beam commissioning.
    3. Hovanes is preparing photomultipliers that can be connected to EPICS to register beam loss along the beamline
    4. Limits switches are being installed on the collimator to prevent moving into the out position.
    5. Each item was discussed and responses are being followed up.

    2. Eugene has sent in a request to Arne to include some photon running before the break in the schedule. This will be requested formally to the Commissioning Advisory Board (CAB) next week.
    3. RSAD draft is available at review web page. Feedback will be provided by next Monday.
    • ARR presentations: Must be reviewed: Currently Eugene (2 talks), Elton (1 talk on controls), Curtis (remote connection, non-availability Aug 27 4:00-6:00)
