Items for followup from previous meeting

  1. Collect this information of testing (including goals and setup) on the wiki for ease of presenting information. (USM)
  2. The JLab team should seriously consider a NIM article for the extensive work on SiPM radiation hardness. Yi will prepare a draft

Documents to Review

Tentative Agenda

Minutes

Attending: Joh, Elton, Fernando (JLab); Will (USM)

  1. Announcements
    • Will is attending a RICH Workshop in Frascatti covering many new technologies, which might be of interest for GlueX. The RICH detector/strangeness physics workshop link is [1]. To see the talks, you go to "program" and then to "timetable".
  2. Review of Action Items
  3. Update - USM
    • no update
  4. SiPM Radiation Hardness Test (Update from Yi)
    • No update
  5. Electronics/cooling
    • Decision on precise configuration of SiPM summing needs to be made
    • Specification of light guides -- see below. Note that number of photoelectrons assumes 50% loss in light guides, so the trapezoidal guides are consistent with our plans.
    • Cooling and mechanical assembly details need to be completed
  6. Geometry and light guides:GlueX-doc-1432:
    • Trapezoidal guide eff.png
    • Note that the red circles (gap between guide and light sensor) show a 60% transmission at small gaps. This is what was measured by Athens.
  7. Monitoring system
  8. Simulation runs
