Action Items from previous meetings

  1. Verify location of standoffs for circuit board. (Fernando)
  2. Location and room for UFL connector for thermistor needs to be finalized. (Chris and Jim)
  3. Jack to update board with bias compensation circuitry (Jack)
  4. The RTDs will need a controller. Scot will see if Hall D has an existing one that can be used; otherwise one will be ordered.

Minutes

Attending: Carl, Fernando, Chris, Chuck, Jim, Yi, John, Elton, Scot

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. Schedule, reporting, and manpower (Elton)
  4. SiPM production testing (everyone)
    1. Light source / optics
      • Pulse generator returned so that uniformity can be checked again
    2. Electronic boards
      • Thermistor and transition boards have come in
      • Three boards are still needed but will be ordered early next week
    3. Cabling
    4. Cooling plate
      • Scot has ordered mounting fixtures for plate and piping. Connections are inside and outside the box.
    5. Programming
      • Yi has set up a log book for the production.
    6. Other?
  5. SiPM testing (Ivan)
    • Ivan was absent but sent some slides with data since the last meeting, which were discussed. There were some questions.
    • Yi: Would like to see the amplitude vs. current (varying rate only) for different light intensities.
    • Carl: 16-chan board for single test was shorted out, so further individual testing needs to wait till it is repaired. 22 units of the production SiPMs have been tested with good performance.
  6. Mechanical assembly (Scot)
    • All connections made, but waiting on installation of thermistors until electrical parts are in.
    • Need a computer to hold equipment. Should check with excess property to see if they have something that could be used.
    • UV light source has come in and is operational.
    • Fernando: Do you need an OSP for operation? Scot will check.
    • Elton: Will check up on schedule for arrival of bcal slices.
    • Jim and Scot have been discussion tooling for the gluing. Once finalized, they can use the First Cut to order prototypes.
  7. Mechanical (Jim)
    • "First Cut" company used for quick turn around of mechanical parts generated from 3D model. All pieces are in and look nice, although they have not been checked in detail. Once sizes are confirmed, a second set will be ordered.
  8. Mechanical drawings (Chuck)
  9. Temperature compensation (Jack)
    • Fernando summarized in his absence: He is working on placing the updated resistors on the bias board. He has suggested a bias distribution for the 1-2-3-4 segmentation, which Fernando wants to check
    • Producing the prototype boards is waiting on these modifications. Once Jack is finished with updates, the entire board needs to be checked by Fernando before ordering the two prototypes.
  10. Preamp-summing (Fernando)
