Minutes

  1. REST Production Status:
    • Third run block: 10331-10913
      • Completed over the holiday weekend: 2 files failed repeatedly, log files available
    • Fourth run block: 11059-11346
      • Calibrations complete and ready for launch, expected to complete within a week
  2. Future REST production calibrations
    • Expect another production before the Fall 2016 run begins, and items for improvement have been discussed at the calibration WG meetings.
  3. Reconstruction Studies:
    • Schedule of presentations
      • The schedule for reports on the individual reconstruction studies begins next week with:
        • SC Efficiency (Mahmoud)
        • CDC Efficiency (Mike)
        • FDC Efficiency (Alex A.)
        • FCAL Neutral Energy & Efficiency (Jon)
  4. Other Studies:
    • A summary of rho beam asymmetry data Curtis
      • Curtis prepared a document compiling the world data on the Sigma beam asymmetry for rho photoproduction.
      • The uncertainties on these previous measurements are large and, as expected, aren't usable for absolute polarization normalization.
    • Beam Polarization: Justin, Mike, Nathan, Richard
      • The beam asymmetry observed for low energy rho production remains an open question
        • Richard is looking into alternative explanations for low energy polarization, and possible improvements on the assumption used in the literature
        • Ken L. added (by e-mail) that beam asymmetries using coherent bremstrahlung and laser backscattering at lower energy show good agreement, which provides some additional confidence in the CBSA method for the coherent peak region
        • Note: As requested the model used for the CBSA fits is CLAS Note 2011-20 by Ken L., where the parameters in the fit are defined at the end of Sec 2 (pg 7).
      • Studies are ongoing to include the tagger coincidence in the TPOL asymmetry results
  5. Analysis Launch Preparations:
    • Plugin Requirements
    • EventStore Readiness: Sean
      • Work is ongoing to utilize Richard's update the HDDM interface in EventStore.
  6. AOB
