Management considering backup plan if SICCAS fails to deliver crystals
Plan to report to management regarding status; also considering writing a letter
Azizah is working on event samples for split-off studies
Expect fabrication of modules to resume in December after end of SRC-CT experiment
- Still need manpower, hope for student manpower in summer of next year
- PMTs continuing to arrive at lab, need to check diameters
Sasha installed 12 modules to check using PS setup in hall
- Read out with PS trigger, looked at image of each module on the PS
- Looked at single module resolutions = ~2.5-3% σE/E
Sasha also looked at a set of 12 crystals (9 CRYTUR, 3 SICCAS) with optical grease between crystal and PMT
- Does not see much systematic difference between coupling with optical grease and actual production version using light guide and cookie
- SICCAS crystals: 1 brown, 1 scratched, 1 "ok": brown crystal showed largest deviation from average energy resolution
