  • Phil Cole (Lamar U.) expressed interest in joining the JEF effort (pending funding)
    • Can provide undergraduate students
  • SICCAS crystal delivery has been delayed by ~2 weeks; now expect in January
  • Rolf has agreed to buy 500 more crystals this fiscal year, pending QA on the current (incoming) batch of crystals.
  • Lab has purchased 500 PMTs, 50 first article already here, remainder by mid March.
  • Lab has purchased electronics for JEF: 5 VXS crates, trigger electronics procurements in process; still need HV units.
  • 3 new active bases installed in COMCAL
  • MRI proposal: need updated quotes from Sasha, pictures of assembly from Josh, goal for text is end of December.
  • Test setup in PS in Hall: from Josh C.:

"We have all the hardware necessary to instrument the 12x1 test stand (all the plates, PMTs, 3D printed parts, bases, etc.) I have attached ~80% of it to the plate, but I ran out of the bolts that attach things. They are on order and should be here today or Monday. Once they arrive, I'll finish the plate and start fitting the PMTs which shouldn't take too long (~30min). We have all the crystals wrapped and ready to go. We plan on using standard EJ550 optical grease for the first tests but we have the necessary room to install PMTs with light guides and cookies when necessary. The shield box is assembled and ready to be installed on the frame on Tuesday. It will need to be aligned and shimmed most likely. Once that is done we'll take the plate down and connect all the cabling and make sure it's light tight. We should be ready to start testing the electronics after that."
