Announcements

We will likely run again starting in early April for five weeks. There is a chance that beam may come to the Hall as early as early March. The plan is to have the detector ready for running by the beginning of March.

Calibration

Sasha is working on time-walk corrections to reduce the number of parameters for the channel-by-channel calibrations.

FADC Voltage Range

From Sasha's talk at the Run Coordination meeting last year, we see that there are a substantial number of overflows in the FADC data. We discussed whether it was better to reduce the PMT voltage to get more pulses into range. The downside there is that we may give up timing resolution. On the other hand lower voltage will extend the lifetime of the PMTs. In the end we decided to ask Fernando to increase the range from 1 V to 2 V. Fernando has already solicited work lists from the group; we will be coming a bit late to the process.

Equipment Loan

The extension of the loan of equipment from JLab to FSU (Loan TJNAF#44283) has received all approvals. The loan runs for a year.

Tasks to Prepare for the Next Run

We identified several basic tasks/procedures that either did not get done or were not developed to completion, including a discriminator threshold scan and a procedure for gain equalization. We agreed to come prepared with a list to discuss at the next meeting.

Collaboration Meeting

FSU will nominate a speaker for the upcoming meeting.

Next Meeting

We agreed to meet again in a week. It looks like weekly meetings might be appropriate between now and the next run.
