  • ifarm monitoring: will be much improved with Alma9 roll out
  • Alma9 interactive farm? (Simon)
  • GPU monitoring (Justin): Jupyter notebooks often block GPUs
  • Apps through oasis on CVMFS, or Jlab's own server? (Richard)
  • Tokens for xrootd? (Richard)

Action Items

  1. Software upgrade projects:
    • halld_recon:
      • $HALLD_RECON_HOME/src/BMS is deprecated, remove from the repo?
    • HDDM:
      • library as separate package
      • new release 4.31.0
      • new build_script branch: separate_hddm: currently testing, will be used with next release
    • JANA2 (Nathan):
      • implement JANA2 in build_scripts, provide version.xml for general testing
      • N. will focus on the transition now
      • Use default CentOS7 container
    • CCDB 2.0 (Dmitry):
      • Check alma9 container
      • Implement version check in v1, test with v2
    • Alma9 (Sean):
      • waiting for CCDB update
        • Tests with latest CCDB main-v2 branch look good. Need to test CCDB DB version update - need instructions / command from Dmitry
      • Diracxx compiles on Alma9, new release 2.1.0
      • xrootd problem with default current root, install package separately, could be solved by upgrading root
        • Plan to install new package
    • Geant4
      • Use newest version that was approved by Richard
      • Requires more recent compiler, C++ standard
      • Upgrade the Alma9 build first, then try to build on Centos7
    • ROOT
