Minutes

Attending: Chris, Elton, Nick, Jim, Tina

  1. Light guides (Tina)
    • Completed 15 modules to date
    • Problems with new batch of glue
    • Returned first lot, new batch is more viscous, but still some remaining issues. Two lbs were ordered, but the company sent only one until they have more feedback. Each batch is made to order.
    • Started using a thinner layer of glue and this reduces the rework needed
    • New procedures implemented to maintain good alignment, included cleaning fixture after each gluing, masking sides to help clean excess glue
    • Top piece to support fixture is working well
    • Tina has requested the certificate of compliance for all glue batches
    • Light guides are being unpacked and the boxes will be eliminated
    • Setting up a desk for the cage assembly. May use bins for hardware from Blue Crab.
    • Jig to put on bar onto top plate arrived today and should be delivered tomorrow.
  2. SiPM production testing (Yi)
    • The database will be updated with three columns (module, column, row)
    • Nick to send location of files with the SiPM assignment information to Elton and Yi.
  3. Mechanical assembly (Jim)
    • Alignment jig for bar on top plate arrived today, should be delivered tomorrow.
  4. Temperature compensation (Jack)
  5. SiPM sorting, electronic boards (Fernando and Chris)
    • So far have not found a single board with all SiPMs on site. (Two with 39 available sensors)
    • Elton: The last shipment of SiPMs has been returned to Chile and is currently in customs in Chile. If the shipment goes through customs in the next week, we can expect tested SiPMs shipments back from Chile in the beginning of April.
    • Cable for monitoring has been prepared so that the installed control boards can be pulsed
    • The cables connecting to the micro-Dsub connectors have been ordered.
