  1. FDC Update
    1. Package 1 is completely ready for testing
    2. The corrosion tests have stopped because the EPDM probes failed (soldering connection) but the trace on the kapton was still intact.
  2. CDC Update
    1. The CDC is mounted on its cart, with a temporary mounting arrangement enabling the downstream end to protrude clear of the end of the cart so that the plenum can be installed more easily. The transfer ring loaned from JLab will be on its way to CMU soon.
    2. Thermocouples have been installed at the downstream end.
    3. The pipe has been cantilevered and the flanges attaching it to the CDC have been removed. We will roll the CDC clear of the pipe later on today.
    4. The continuity checks between the HVB pads and downstream crimp pins have been completed. The list of pin to pad assignments is on the docDB [CDC pin assignments - doc#2120]
    5. Next we will be installing the downstream gas plenum window, testing for gas tightness one more time, and then testing with Ar/CO2 with cosmics.
    6. CMU is expecting 2 new grad students to join, Will and Michael, we anticipate that they will help with the CDC calibrations and spend the summer at JLab to help with Hall D installation work.
    7. Beni is working on the shopping list of equipment which CMU would need for cosmics testing. He mentioned that the HV distribution is by 7 blocks of 24 HV connectors which will be attached to the CDC around the outside of the cheeseplate. We understand that the first article FADC125s(40) are expected in mid January. CMU would like to use 6 of these for cosmics testing and algorithm development.
