Hi folks:

this is a reminder for our teleconference regarding the BCAL beam test analysis on Friday December 15 at 10:00 EST.

Connection

Call (306) 781-5999

Participants' code 5545824#

Agenda

  1. Blake's Simulation and Analysis Plots
    1. MC to Data Comparison
    2. MeV/channel calibration and issues
  2. Brief Report on Yianna's ADC fits for SensL SiPMs; for setup see BCAL SiPM Tests 2006.
  3. Any other business

Minutes

Attendees: Alex, Matt (Indiana), David (JLab), George, Blake, Yianna, Zisis (Regina)

  1. SiPM Analysis: Yianna presented her initial attempts at fitting the ADC spectra from the SensL 3x3mm2 tests in November, carried out at Regina. Noteworthy is a double-peaking behaviour at around +2V above breakdown. This might be related to the performance of the amplifier board. A teleconference will be held on December 18 to coordinate future measurements at JLab, Regina and IU.
  2. Beam Test Analysis: Blake presented his work based on the 'golden' Run 2334. A historical progress in the analysis was shown, focusing on aspects of disagreement between the MC and data in the individual cell and summed energy spectra. The VETO counter does not contain useful information for Run 2334. The origin of the low-energy 'undesirable' events has not been found yet, but the events can be suppressed by cutting on a 3D plot that include ntdctrig. Suggestions to pursue included further investigations of correlation of the low energy events with other variables, using the BCAL TDC info and using unbinned fits (Matt will provide help).
