The following is a concise outline of the logistics pertaining to the Hall D Tagger Microscope prototype beam test in Hall B.
Time
Prototype ready for installation during the Feb 25 - Mar 28th Hall B shutdown. One task to be carried out before installation and alignment is the location of the analyzed electron beam plane. Time needed is outlined for the several approaches to this.
Pre-installation time required:
- Burn paper approach: 1 hour during Hall B access before shutdown
- Translation table with counter (Hovannes):
- none? will the prototype box be mounted on' the translation table during installation?
- few hours during access before shutdown? will they permit equipment there during high current running going on now?
- Dead reckoning: position determined from survey - not preliminary time required.
Installation time required:
- time in counting house to test Hall B-loaned control PC with prototype: 2-3 hours
- time in the Hall: 3-6 hours
Equipment
- prototype chamber with control and amplifier electronics: UConn
- prototype control PC (SiPM/Amp settings, alignment control): loaned by Hall B
