Run Coordination report for the week from 02/15-02/22/2023 (Keigo Mizutani).

The main focus of this week was data production on the diamond and amorphous radiators at 300 nA. The ABU for this week was 79.8h, and the lost time was 10.5h. The main causes of this lost time were usual overheads (radiator/diamond switch anc DAQ stop/start) and DAQ issues (some communication errors of IOCs required the hall access to fix).

We had one special task this week, which was AD00C beam current monitor (BCM) calibration. This task is invasive to the other halls, so it was performed on Monday when Hall B & C was down to minimize its impact. The calibration work was done by MCC crews, and there was one miscommunication during this work (Hall D shift crews were asked for the maximum current to be used in the calibration, which was not supposed to be asked for). This is still under discussion to clarify the procedure and to avoid future possible miscommunications.

We had the following issues during the last week:

  • One BCAL HV module stopped supplying HVs. Fixed by Mark D.
  • DIRC FPGA communication errors. Fixed by Sergey.
  • Temperature of the target compressor cooling water reached 70 deg and alarm went off. Fixed by Tim (water flow rate was adjusted).

The following issues that were identified during previous weeks are not fully addressed yet:

  • Start counter rotation indicated by the reconstruction software
  • Network port on the fan tray for FCAL 11 crate is not working. When we have an expected long downtime, this tray should be replaced (by Chris Stanislav).
