The pictures below show oscilloscope traces for gas mixture 50/50 Ar/CO2.

new preamp and new cable (baseline adjusted), 1900V.
old preamp and old cable, 1900V.
new preamp and old cable, 1900V.

The following were obtained with increased anode voltages.

new preamp, 55Fe, 50/50 Ar/CO2, 2100V
