Fiber Test Stand
- Brian and Carl did a great job cleaning up F117 and making room for us.
- Elliott and Beni moved a lot of stuff from the BCAL test area in Hall B into F117, many thanks to Bill and Armen from the Electronics group for supplying the muscle. We found most of the NIM modules used in the BCAL test!
- Elliott scrounged up two linux computers and both are working. Contact Beni or Elliott for account info and passwords.
- Dave A kindly lent us a single board computer and more importantly, a CAEN V792 integrating ADC.
- Ed J will get us a TI board and an F1TDC.
- Elliott installed all the DAQ software needed.
- Simon supplied an example VxWorks program that reads out an ADC and a TDC to use as a template.
- Only problem: minicom not working yet, not sure why. This provides the interface to the RS232 port, needed to boot the computer in the VME crate (later...turned out to be a bad cable).
