  • Announcements
    • ECT* workshop “Precision Tests of Fundamental Physics with Light Mesons"
      • is approved and will take place June 12-16, 2023
      • Here are the remarks of the ECT* Board: "The proposed workshop will provide a rich program that is very timely. The participants include many experts in the field and the interaction will potentially lead to good insights and new strategies. The ECT* Scientific Board fully supports this proposal."

Minutes

Attendees: Igal, Bill, Susan, Sasha, Liping, Arshak, Jon, S.T.

  • Lab has been moved from TEDF to EEL; need to check if any of the crystals got damaged during the move
  • Using mu-metal from Hall-C while we wait for our shipment of mu-metal
  • Sasha placed order for 50 more Crytur crystals
  • Will get 50 spare crystals from NPS
  • Fabrication bottlenecks:
    • Gluing light guides -- maybe get students involved?
    • Brass assemblies: brazing still has quality control issues
    • Silicon cookies
  • Module fabrication continues with good pace with student help (Gavin gave the student update)
    • Goal of ~1200 fabricated modules by middle of August
  • Students were reminded/encouraged to submit for student funding
