Review of minutes from the previous meeting

We went over the minutes from May 30.

Beni mentioned that although he completed calibration pass through the Spring 2017 data with fine run segmentation, he has not revised the calibrations constants, derived from a previous pass, in the CCDB. We are very close to the final configuration for the next launch and there have been no problems reported with the current set of constants. His current plan is to hold off on updating the CCDB for now.

Calibration Status

Brad and Beni have been reviewing our calibration procedures. Two areas could potentially improve performance.

Time-Walk Correction

Beni is switching to a scheme where pulse amplitude is used in the walk correction rather than pulse integral area.

The current functional form does not do a great job of fitting the data. Beni is trying a fit to two independent regions of time vs. amplitude to get a better representation of the data. The next step is testing to see if there is any improvement.

Energy Calibration

Brad is looking into a repeat of our energy calibration. Though the energy measurement from the TOF is not a critical quantity, the calibration has not been done for a while and needs an update.
