Feb 23, 2011 SiPM Electrical and Cooling
From GlueXWiki
Action Items from previous meetings
- Determine if swapped bias pins was accidental or in design (Chris)
- Make low voltage cables for the SiPM test (Chris)
- Acquire material to absorb water for the box (Carl)
- Order dew point sensor (Jim)
Tentative Agenda
- Announcements
- Action Items
- Schedule, reporting, and manpower (Elton)
- SiPM production testing (everyone)
- All electronic boards installed
- Re-calibrating optical flux and filter settings
- Carl will provide 16 first-article samples to Yi for a comparison with previous measurements, systematics of new setup and uniformity of light illumination.
- Yi will create a "how to" for use with the test setup
- Mechanical assembly (Scot)
- Light guide gluing fixture has been modified to account for thicker plate on mini-Bcal
- Mechanical (Jim)
- Mechanical drawings (Chuck)
- Chuck has been developing the drawings for brackets to modify the Regina support for mini-Bcal to allow positioning the device transverse to the beam.
- Temperature compensation (Jack)
- Has compiled a data sheet with test voltage settings and resistor patters for first 1000 production SiPM units. Will update tables to set SiPMs to Vbr+1.2 V (Hamamatsu operating voltage + 0.3V)
- The new settings can be used during assembly of the readout electronics.
- Yi will compile a list of 160 SiPMs as possible units for the beam test and 4x2 bins of voltage. (We need only 80)
- Preamp-summing (Chris is out but sent these notes)
- The 80 U Boards will be delivered tomorrow and I have all the parts in house
- I have finished and tested the last 4-Up BCAL test boards and installed it in the test fixture in 126
- I installed the additional 3 power cables to power the boards
- I built up 8 more of the Samtec to CAEN adapter boards and asked Jim F. to bring them to the meeting today. I am waiting on parts to finish the last 4.
