Preparation of parts for ECAL -- Sasha
Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha, All
- Implementing ECAL into the GlueX DAQ [3]
- - rocecal3 crate was fixed [4] (initial DAQ implementation [5])
- - implementing flash ADC scalers [6][7]
- - translation table for the ECAL (finalize/check translation DB, generate xml file, import to the CCDB) - done [8]
- - implementing and verifying ECAL LMS trigger [9]
- - implementing and verifying the ECAL physics trigger. First event reconstructed using the GlueX software [10]
- - Start implementing VTP trigger modules. Requires modification of firmware. The trigger crates may be unavailable for 1 - 1.5 months.
- - The VTP was installed in the D2-1-TOP crate, IP address assigned, and can be booted now
- - New version of DAQ, VTP included as a DAQ component [11]

- No change in delivery date for HV boxes
- Mounting location to be determined
- Installation in December?
- Still working on increasing light output for LMS
- Increase number of LEDs to 25 in existing design
- Working on improving fan implementation to reduce heat in ECAL divider region
- Some regions where air flow is low increase to >125F when the dividers are at HV
- Heat can transfer from PMT divider region to crystals
- Decreasing chiller temperature did not obviously change the temperature profile
- Receiving new/bigger fans will take about 2-3 weeks
- Some fibers delivering small amount of light, added additional fibers to faces of some crystals
- After fixing a few, decided to move forward with sealing the front face of the FCAL
- Laveen presented COMCAL drawings for reference PMT apparatus, to be modified for ECAL
- Need to add soft iron housing
- Also working on restoring TAC (had used Crytur crystals, now using SICCAS crystals)
- Zhikun showed results of looking at data from cosmic runs
- Holes seen that were fixed over the course of multiple runs over several days
- Fit pulse integral distributions with Landau+polynomial background
- Also looked at peak positions using amplitudes
- Found mean values, see variations from channel to channel due to fixed 1040 V high voltage setting for all channels
- Plan to adjust HV settings and check with more cosmic runs
