Contents
Wednesday, September 14
Past 24 Hours
- Empty target production @200nA
- Time spent on LHe target so far: empty: 27%, full: 73%
- Total triggers collected
- Shift summaries:
Issues
Plan
- Maintenance day today
- FCAL Base replacement (Malte)
- Installation of setup in PS for GEM-TRD
- Beam restoration expected around 8:00PM
- Fill LHe target
- Take production data at 200nA
- Adjust voltage for 1 CCAL channel
Tuesday, September 13
Past 24 Hours
- TAC run
- Empty target production @200nA
- Shift summaries:
Issues
- spontaneous saturation of active collimator adcs during TAC run
- More data on LCW Temperature variations
Plan
- Empty Target running
- Maintenance day tomorrow
- Beam off around 6:30AM, restored during swing shift (~8PM)
Monday, September 12
Over the Weekend
- Production data at 200nA on the liquid He target.
- 12.8B total triggers collected on LHe target (started Thursday morning)
- Active collimator checkout at 2nA beam current.
- Timing calibrations updated by Sean
- Beam was down for ~5hours early Monday morning. We took raw cosmics data during this time:
- Run numbers: 110721-110723 (9.8M events)
- Beam down for ~1hour Saturday during swing shift, took cosmics run:
- Run number: 110701 (2.5M events)
- Shift summaries:
Issues
- FCAL Bases:
- Had to reset a few bases throughout the weekend using standard procedure. One base (35,5) was not responding to power-reset and Malte will investigate next access.
- Another base not holding HV and needs to be replaced next access
- CDC AI turned off per Naomi's request.
Plan
- Empty Target, take TAC Run
- Continue taking empty-target data until Maintenance day on Wednesday
Friday, September 9
Past 24 hours
- Production data at 200nA on the liquid He target.
- 2.7B total triggers collected last 24 hours
- Trigger studies and rate scan performed by Sasha
- Added low-threshold trigger for FCAL (0.5GeV Trigger threshold)
- 2 noisy FCAL channels were masked
- FCAL HV Scan with solenoid field on
- Beam stability on the active collimator (Beni)
- Shift summaries:
Issues
- Beam was unavailable for about 1 hour during the day shift due to Hall C's BCM calibration. We correlated the FCAL HV scan with this downtime.
- Minor issue with one shift worker not showing up. Thanks to Karthik for taking that role on short notice.
- EA LCW Oscillations giving rise to vertical orbit excursions in Hall D Beam
- Trigger Timing change noted by Beni
Plan
- Continue taking production data at 200nA.
- Production runs at small intensity (50nA and 100nA) over the weekend?
- PrimEx Run Plan
Thursday, September 8
Past 24 hours
- Maintenance day
- Work done in hall:
- Removed Be target, Installed He target and ramped magnet:
- Fixed connection for missing channels in ST:
- Replaced FCAL bases & one PMT (Malte): [1], [2]
- LHe Target full and ready after ~11 hours, [3] (Chris Carlin)
- Extrapolations from harp scans
- FCAL HV Correction for outliers (Igal)
- 308M Triggers collected while target was filling and solenoid ramping.
- 404M Triggers collected with target full and solenoid ramped.
- Shift Summaries:
Issues
- FDC-RF selftiming peak is missing
- Hall C will do BCM calibrations this afternoon, coordinate access to fix FDC TDCs with this?
Plan
- Rate+Trigger Studies (Sasha)
- Begin(continue) production on LHe Target @200nA
- Wednesday, 9/14: MCC plans to open the tunnel with the goal to bring up as much RF as possible. They plan to spend ~1.5 shifts for this.
