Agenda
- Status of the crystal production (SICCAS)
- Status of PMT/other procurement
- Check PMT diameter
- Runs to study PMT anode current
- Preparation for module fabrication
Minutes
Attendees: Josh, Phi, Tim B., Tim W., Mark S., Jane, Zisis, Sasha, Arshak, S.T.
- Clean space in TEDF ready to go pending OSP
- 2nd Light Yield setup ready to go pending network setup
- SICCAS crystals: 160 ready for shipment, delay due to extended Chinese New Year holiday (and possibly coronavirus issues)
- 150 Hamamatsu PMTs with correct base have arrived at the lab -- 20% have larger diameter than our criterion
- Base redesign test using 3 COMCAL channels: read out raw waveforms, Sasha still analyzing, but looks like will need to reduce gain from 24x to 2-3x.
- Head dissipation of 1 W/ PMT will need to be taken into account when designing cooling system.
- Light monitoring system: will use plexiglas scheme a la FCAL
- Multiple light sources with integrating sphere
- Tests with full-scale plexiglas: summer project?
- CMU: tooling for production of PMT housing (soft iron)
- Light guide dimensions need to be finalized: do we go with larger diameter, which needs machining and increases cost? Out for quotes.
- Brass straps: identified new vendor
- Plans for stress test well underway (setup ready to go, temperature control worked out with Nick S.)
- Flanges: need 20-50 by mid March, only have 3
