Overview
- Load up at CMU - looking at Oct 28-30 or Nov 4-6
- Ideally, store truck indoors overnight at CMU before departure, maybe also at JLab
- Drive to JLab
- Arrival by 3.30pm - go to EEL to unload
- Arrival after 3.30pm - go to Hall D, drive in, CDC in truck overnight, drive to EEL the next day and unload
Preparations
- See Shopping list below
- Calculate position of CDC's CM - Naomi - approx 22" from Al plate, will refine
- Add reinforcements to CDC cart for forklift
- Swap straight wheels for swivel wheels
- Find filters to cap CDC gas tubes
- Wrap CDC in bubblewrap
- Cut dual-density foam to size
- Locate mooring snubbers
- Rent a truck
- Put thermocouple in truck to measure temp near CDC and fan to move air back
- Update packing list - Naomi - extra things to bring (HVBs, manifold etc) installation doc with packing list
- Book accommodation at resfac
- Find somewhere to keep truck indoors overnight at CMU - Naomi
- Negotiate loading bay access - Curtis
- Arrange time with fork lift driver - Gary
Equipment for readout is not needed
- 4 long scint paddles are to travel down from CMU - no.
- Do we need to bring any NIM modules? No.
Longer term plans - after arrival at JLab
- CDC is to be stored in EEL 126 until FDC installation is complete. CDC mini-readout in EEL can be set up once FDC has moved into Hall D
- Expect CDC installation to be in Jan 2014 (engineering) or Dec 2013 (electronics) schedules are linked to installation meeting Sept 27
- Hook up to gas supply
- Move onto installation cart?
- Add HV blocks
- Set up air cooling - compressed air in EEL126, ducts in HallD
- Then add electronics for readout

Questions
- Do we need to bring 6 bubblers? No.
- Do we need to borrow a mini-compressor for the cart tires?
- Do we need to bring any NIM modules? No.
- Cut-off time for unloading in EEL 3.30
- What is the safe temp range? 40-100F?
