Contract
Mark finally got the proposal materials from Procurement. He will be sending it out to the Technical Review committee soon.
PMT Purchase
Procurement received a bid from a vendor. Evaluation is underway.
Calibration and Alignment
Sasha agreed to write something up about how we plan to calibrate the TOF. Mark suggested with a wiki page outlining the ideas; essentially a conceptual design of the calibration process. We will need something like this before the Software Review in early June. A full GlueX note should follow when plans are more detailed.
Technical Design Report Contribution
Paul agreed to look over what exists now and update the appropriate section.
Mechanical Design
Tim and Chuck presented a new idea for the mechanical support. The new design was motivated by two requirements, (a) that we support the light guides at some point close to the PMT's and (b) that we not put pressure on the scintillator surfaces. This lead to a scheme where the light guides are supported at two points, one near the joint with the scintillator as in the previous design, but also with a collar just on the in-board side of the steel magnetic shield.
Chuck will draw up another iteration of the concept and send it to the FSU design team for their review and comments.
Once a design is agreed on, we will build a full-scale mock-up of the center section of the array to test the ideas. The counter line-up will be:
