Agenda
- SICCAS crystals
- Preparation for module fabrication
- COMCAL tests, TAC running, etc.
- Simulations
- Dark Scalar Boson PDF study (Jared R.)
Minutes
Attendees: Phil,Igal,Jared,Varun,Azizah,Liping,Jon,Zisis,Jane,Arshak,Sasha,Tim B., Bill B., S.T.
- Sasha and Josh installed another set of 12 crystals in the PS setup in the hall
- Have now studied ~80 crystals with this setup
- Batch 8 had some internal imperfections
- Plan to send 2 discolored SICCAS crystals back to Shanghai after doing transmittance measurements
- 3 modified PMT dividers have been installed in COMCAL
- 2 have been fixed after correcting wrong resistor values (needed to keep current draw below 1 mA)
- Hope to test with beam this weekend
- Plan is to finalize design soon, then order 150 bases for COMCAL refurbishment
- Jared presented his study of signal PDFs for Dark Scalar search
- Using 2 Crystal Ball functions to parameterize detector response (could in principle use double Guassian)
- Pull distributions look good
- Iterative parameter smoothing is working
- Developed a set of python scripts
- Using 2 Crystal Ball functions to parameterize detector response (could in principle use double Guassian)
