Agenda
- SICCAS crystals
- Preparation for module fabrication
- COMCAL tests, TAC running, etc.
- Simulations [1]
Minutes
Attendees: Arshak,Igal,Jon,Zisis,Liping,Josh,Tim W.,Susan,Sasha,Phil,Bill B.,S.T.
- Still waiting for new light guide samples
- mu-metal shields: company obtained new tooling ~2 weeks go, still waiting for fixed shields
- Sasha will talk to SICCAS contact week of 7/20/20, also hope to be able to work on QA (dimensions + ?) of received crystals
- Not able to work in Hall-C lab, move some equipment to TEDF?
- If light guides arrive, work on module assembly for beam test?
- Can do some test using sodium-22 source
- Chris S. working on revised PMT base layout
- Space for dip switches
- Still need some resistor info from Vlad P.
- Plan for Chris to assemble 2 bases to install in COMCAL
- Order placed for HV
- Contract work for new SICCAS order ongoing
- Igal gave a presentation showing his work on simulations for η→π0γγ
- Some discussion about how to estimate number of expected ηs
- How to fold in random backgrounds? Use COMCAL data?
- Do we need to fold in beam polarization?
- Retrain ML for splitoffs? Matt suggests wait until have real data
- Some structure seen in π0γ for B-boson test need to be understood
- Suggestions brought up during discussion:
- Look at efficiency
- Look at Dalitz distribution
- Look at η→3π0 background
- Look at using an existing tool such as pluto to deal with η decays
- Plan to create common directory accessible on ifarm for JEF simulations
- Sasha will look into elog for JEF
- Liping plans to work on letter of intent for Snowmass
- Meeting ended with discussion of what work can be done remotely given MEDCON-5
- PMT base checkout?
- Igal suggested Phil's student could help out with dark scalar efforts
