PMT Testing
Sascha reported that all 25 PMTs have gone through single photo-electron testing. He showed some plots of results for selected tubes. The calculated gains track those supplied by Hamamatsu, but the amount of variation from the Hamamatsu number is about 25%. In the original batch of TOF PMTs, the variation was more like 10%. There is also a (previously noted) large variation in the yield of single-pe events from tube to tube.
The tubes will now go on to tests with an americium source.
