Past 24 hours
- 6:37 LCW fluctuation tripped PS magnet.
- Hall C pass change completed early afternoon. Then, Ops started to tune hall D beam.
- 17:30 Ops starting to tune beam to Hall D tagger.
- 23:30 Although the first amorphous radiator motion was normal, it got stuck in its way to get retracted.
- Hovanes reduced motor speed to 30% of nominal
- We decided to drop the program on 10-4 and 3×10-4 RL radiators, as well as Ion Chambers threshold calib. on those. We also drop the plan for our Harp scan since it uses the same motor.
- 01:05 radiator motion issue again despite reduced speed
- 03:20 Ion Chamber calibration done (2×10-5 radiator only because of motor issue)
- 05:20 Active Collimator calibration done (high gain only because of radiator motor issue)
- Transmission looks decent: 5kHz rate in the PSC counters compared to expected 8.7kHz for optimal, converging, beam (100 nA, 2×10-5 RL 750um TPOL converter)
- Shift Summary
- ABUs: 0 h
Issues
- Amo radiator/harp motor.
- Notable bleedthrough (unexpected but not an issue?). It is clearly correlated with beam on in Hall C. It seems it was fixed during the night
- Questions:
- Access to tagger to look at amorphous radiator/harp motor?
- Man shifts for Friday day/swing?
Plan
- Noon: rapid access (2h, 5 persons) for DAQ and detector work.
