FDC Weekly Meeting
Date: November 1, 2006
Participants: Daniel, Brian, Simon, Chuck Hutton, Tim Whitlatch
Next Meeting: Wednesday, October 8, 2006 @ 1:30 p.m.
Project Engineers
The meeting was attended by Chuck Hutton and Tim Whitlatch, engineers from the Accelerator Group who will be working on the FDC system. - Brian gave an overview of the FDC system and the design work. They were given the task of producing 3D mechanical drawings of the FDC system. They will have first drawings by our next meetings.
Mechanical Cathode Sandwiches
We discussed the time line for completion of the two cathode mechanical sandwiches. We want these constructed by the end of the year with some flatness measurements completed. - Brian will find a manufacturer for the full-scale flex boards. - Brian will talk to Jeff Wilson about designing the dummy cathode boards. - The boards need to go out for manufacture within two weeks. - Brian will think about the measurement techniques.
Daughter Boards
DSC will follow up on the ASIC preamp daughter boards. We need to specify the connector size and daughter board size (and thickness constraints).
Minutes prepared by Daniel. Send any comments or corrections along.
