Attending: Elton, Beni, Chuck, Jim, John (JLab); Will (USM); Zisis, George, Andrei (UofR);
- Announcements
- Review of Action Items
- Update - USM (Will)
- Received 2nd small milling machine. Larger one on order. Setback with personnel. Student/engineer responsible for light guides and dark box will concentrate on one project.
- Testing board for electronics awaiting parts that are likely in customs
- All materials for dark box are in hand, except for the copper cooling plate that needs machining.
- Reminder to JLab to ship SiPM array for testing.
- Alam is updating SiPM tester to be more modular
- SiPM update
- Preparations for testing
- Carl is preparing the test setup for First Article testing of SiPMs
- Mechanical cooling system under design including concept for prototype
- Regina preparations
- New masters student will work on SiPMs
- Kathryn Janzen will come down to Regina from Saskatoon to help get tests up and running.
- Elton Asked about the laser. It is a 375 nm UV diode laser with variable intensity and pulse rate between 2.5 and 42 MHz. Together with a calibrated photodiode to determine absolute photon flux at high intensity, the laser can be used at low intensity to measure PDE.
- Preparations for testing
- Electronics/cooling (Fernando)
- Fernando responsible for the pre-amp/summing electronics board
- Jack McKisson responsible for the bias/temperature compensation board
- Geometry and light guides
- Envelop and geometry for electronic boards needs to be coordinated between Fernando and Chuck/Jim.
- Mechanical prototype
