DescriptionTest new Python-based IRMIS, perhaps with solenoid controls information.

Need to get feedback from techs, engineers and physicists to see if IRMIS is an appropriate framework for managing all Hall D controls, cabling, power, etc. information.

 I populated the IRMIS database with BNL training data so we can get a feel for how IRMIS is used. I will clear the database before we start entering solenoid controls information.

 The original IRMIS project has been terminated. Don Dohan is working on PyIRMIS which uses an expanded database schema along with a Python interface. The old web services interface is no more. Don says he'll have a release this fall.

 Don says to expect release in Feb/Mar timeframe. I asked if I could get an earlier release but haven't heard back yet.

 According to Don Dohan IRMIS3 is still under development and there won't be a release for a while. FRIB wants to use IRMIS3 so it has a decent future, but for us it's just too late, we've been waiting for years now.

 Maybe we'll switch to IRMIS3 at some future date from either CED or the CLAS system, but IRMIS3 isn't real yet and we can't wait. Most likely we'll use the CLAS system due to its superior interface.

 We will not user IRMIS as it never arrived. We are using the JInventory system instead.
