* I showed the strawman schedule and then how to handle the lead glass modules. The discussion then went right into cabling, which was discussed for the duration.
+
* Sasha presented an outline of his plan for lead-glass module removal, sorting and repairing.
* Sasha brought up the need for categorizing the existing modules before unstacking and then keep them separate.
+
** Sasha suggested it would be easier to sort and handle modules if we remove all the racks
** Sasha to write a plan on how to categorize and repair the modules
+
** Chris S. and Fernando prefer not to remove the racks on the platform
*** determine existing problems
+
** Arshak suggested erecting a platform upstream of the FCAL platform to facilitate handling
*** inspect as removed and decide which bin to go into
+
** Plan included 5 categories, good modules, color of module glass, pmt replace, base replace, repair wrap.
*** determine number of bins
+
** Malte suggested using existing bar codes to categorize, up front work needed to set up spreadsheet (Jinventory)
*** those with no issues, keep whole
+
* More discussions on cables
** Crates can handle around 1500 lbs
+
** Fernando plans on using 400 existing signal cables from modules
** should modules be removed from upstream or downstream?
+
** Eugene suggested maybe get new cables if we have to abandon in place
** Develop space plan based on Sasha'a plan (Tim)
+
** Malte reminded us that some of the existing cables may be brittle and need retermination if removed from crates.
* Cable discussion
+
** Still need new cable map to help with final decision of whether to remove all cables completely or just the detector end.
** How many new cable trays do we need (depends on plan)
+
** Stephanie showed layout for patch panel on downstream wall of dark room for signal cables. Cables inside would be thin cables attached to beam pipe at center and spread out to crystals
** 1600 new HV cables (through side wall patch panels)
+
** Signal cable config generally accepted and we will plan on this
** 1600 new LV cables (through side wall patch panels) - ribbon cable daisy chained on inside?
+
** May need chains with larger links or additional chain downstrean in Z of existing.
** 1200 or 1600 new signal cables depending if we reuse existing 400 cables
+
** Need tube with larger diameter (maybe 3") for photons to cleanly pass
** Do we remove all cables completely or just on detector end?
+
** Mark S. suggested using a cable manager below beamline to carry cables in Z
*** If only on one end?
+
* It was suggested that the additional cable weights may be too much for the existing dark room
****  the loose cables need to be supported and stowed somehow
+
* Need to discuss new crystal monitoring system and installation
**** little space left for work on platform
+
**** Less work for cabling folks
+
**** How to remove 400 existing signal cables
+
*** Remove cables completely?
+
**** Can remove racks so there is room to work on the platform
+
**** More work for cable folks
+
** How to route and support additional cables?
+
*** Bring HV and LV cables from patch panel on side walls
+
**** Route them from top and bottom to center
+
*** Add additional chain in Z to handle additional cables
+
*** Use smaller diameter (RGA 174 (2.8mm diam.)) for signal cables?
+
**** Route through patch panel or connector from DS wall
+
**** bring along center pipe and fan out?
+
**** need to decide on connectors and length
+
