## Elton gave an update on CPP. Things are proceeding ok: company has the cable crimper and a set of 6 cables are expected next week; noise studies continue; trigger work is pending, fibres to crate to be installed, etc.

## BCAL (offline) - ('Verbal only': Tolga first look at ver06 Batch 1/2) for runs in the 80,000 series. Things look mostly nominal with a few small issues that are being investigated.  Elton asked about "noisy plots" and Mark answered that these are for MT target runs and are not really visible with full target; anyhow, the random triggers in the MC handles them ok.

Goals for Calorimetry Group

  1. Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
  2. Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at least 5 MeV.
  3. Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency and resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

Minutes

Attendees: Mark, Tolga, Stjepan, Elton, Churamani, Farah (Bonn), Karthik, Malte, Jon, Eugene, Zisis

  1. Announcements: none.
  2. Past Meeting Minutes
    1. We reviewed the minutes from the past two meetings briefly. Mark is studying the FCAL voltages and will report quantitatively soon, and for now his proposal is leaning towards modifying the voltage of the PMTs. Some max out, so for those Mark is thinking to have them replaced with 40 other ones (mostly in central region).
  3. Shutdown tasks
    1. Review Action Items: skipped.
    2. Elton gave an update on CPP. Things are proceeding ok: company has the cable crimper and a set of 6 cables are expected next week; noise studies continue; trigger work is pending, fibres to crate to be installed, etc.
  4. Run Operations
    1. FCAL: no report.
    2. BCAL: Mark reported that the backwards wiring on one of the BCAL chillers (caused the flow to go in reverse) has been fixed.
    3. CCAL: no report.
  5. Calibration: Mark is working on the low-level BCAL constants (position calibration) for SRC and when done will send the numbers to Stjepan. Stjepan asked about a PrimEx launch and Mark replied that it will be done soon.
  6. Monitoring
    1. BCAL (offline) - ('Verbal only': Tolga first look at ver06 Batch 1/2) for runs in the 80,000 series. Things look mostly nominal with a few small issues that are being investigated. 8. Simulations: no report.
  9. Any other business: Mark will book a room at JLab for these CALWG meetings so that locals can gather there.
