Minutes: Jan 27

FCAL:

  • finished programming all 2800 bases
  • turned on HV on single base and saw few cosmics last week
  • working on making sure everything is behaving properly before all HV on

DAQ:

  • ran N6 DAQ last week, took data, extracted pedestal values (see links in Updates)
  • extracted DAC values to make all pedestals 100 for N6 crates
  • will run S6 this week and get DAC values
  • will run N6 with corrected DAC values

Triggers

  • 1. Base pulser – electronics chain
  • 2. Simple LED pulser – pmts whole
  • 3. Cosmics – look for physics, self-trigger
  • 4. Complete LED Monitoring System

Hardware Requirements:

  • 1. NIM Bin (From ESB?)
  • 2. Pulser (have)
  • 3. NIM logic module
  • 4. Discriminator
  • 5. 12 CTPs
  • 6. 2 SSPs


Tasks:

  • 1. DAQ (trigger) configuration, CODA
    • Done 12/5 - Alex
  • 2. Readout pedestals, Generate analyzer to generate ROOT tree
    • Alex, Sergey
  • 3. Define working pedestals (JANA based), write scripts, produce list of pedestals
    • Manuel, provided raw data and analyzer from Alex
  • 4. Confirm electronics chain from ROOT files
    • Pulse bases - IU
  • 5. Confirm PMTs alive from ROOT files
    • Simple LED setup - IU
  • 6. Look for Cosmics from ROOT files
    • Self-trigger - IU
  • 7. Implement full LED pulsing system
