Announcements

  • The construction contract between FSU and JLab has been signed by both parties.

Review of Last Meeting

We went over the minutes from the ??? meeting.

FSU reported last time that the bent plates sent from JLab did not look as good as expected. Tim thought we should try them in the mini-TOF anyway and see if they cause a problem.

Mechanical Design

Ian showed a drawing of a File:TOFLightGuideGluingStation.pdf. The plan is to add a temporary counterweight to each light guide so that the combination of light guide and weight will sit on top of a scintillator bar without additional clamping or support. Gravity will then supply the clamp for gluing. He showed a sample weight. The overall fixture can be rotated 180 degrees to glue light guides to the "other" side.

Mini-TOF Construction

Current activities include:

  • polishing light guides
  • more UVT was material ordered and received
  • making the longer light guides for the central counters
    • design in hand, but never made before now

TDC Implementation

At some point we need to identify manpower to make sure that the ancillary boards needed to incorporate the CAEN TDC's into the data acquisition are produced and their use understood. Only prototypes exist at present. Hall B will be using them, so we are not alone in having this need.

Calibration and Alignment

Sasha will produce a note on the current plans. It should be ready by the Collaboration Meeting. He is running some Monte Carlo simulations to test the ideas.

Technical Design Report

Paul is making progress.

Contract status and EVMS status

We will need to make pick points for the EVMS plan before the end of the month. Mark will consult with Beni and circulate a draft.

We plan to have a meeting next week to discuss details of invoicing and payment.
