Start Counter Tilt

Eric sent an email to Tim Whitlatch asking for survey results. He recalls that the nose was tilted about 1.0-1.5 mm down. This was seen on the assembly jig at FIU. The ST was surveyed on the target cart in the hall. We are seeing higher rates at the top than the bottom of the array, by a factor of 2.5.

This could be corrected in various ways, but for the current run we agreed it was best to leave well enough alone. The start counter will be mounted on the hydrogen target cart for the Spring run; we should try to correct this tilt when it is mounted on that cart.

TDC Timing

We noted the need for a trigger signal somewhere in the F1-TDC system. Beni reported that he has installed one in the FDC TDC crate. That should allow us to correlation times in the start counter with the rest of the detector.

Monitoring Histograms and More

Eric showed the plots he presented at Wednesday's Run Coordination Meeting. Things are looking good. In particular he sees a good correlation between start counter times and BCAL times as measured by the FADC-250s.
