RADCON MUST BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO CHANGING FILTERS!! RADCON will determine What PPE is needed at time of Filter Change. Replacement Filter 20 microns 1- Open Bypass Valve 2- Close Inlet Valve 3- Close Outlet Valve 4- Attach Hose to the "Dirty Drain" Valve. 5- Place Hose in in 5 Gal Bucket. 6- Look at the pressure gauge on the Head Cover. Crack Valve to relieve pressure in the Filter Housing. 7- Check Pressure Gauge located on Filter Housing Head Cover to verify pressure has been relieved. 8- Open Bleeder Valve on top of Filter Housing Head Cover. 9- Open valve and drain water in Bucket until half full. This will ensure the level in the Housing is low enough to remove Filters. Close Valve 10- Before loosening the clamp bolt on the Filter Housing Head Cover, verify the pressure gauge reads 0-PSI 11- Loosen clamp bolt and remove clamp and Head Cover. 12- Remove wing nut and Filter Alignment Plate. 13- Remove the four Filters and place them in a 13 Gal trash bag. 14- Visually inspect the inside of the housing for any loose debris. 15- Slide four new Filters onto the Filter Guides. 16- Install the Filter Alignment Plate making sure it fits into the tops of the new Filters. Firmly tighten wing nut to seat Filters. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. 17- Inspect gasket for any damage and center it onto Housing. 18- Install the Head Cover onto the Housing. 19- Head Cover must be properly aligned on gasket before applying clamp. 20- Be sure Head Cover is not tilted or cocked on gasket. 21- Upon applying clamp, strike sides of clamp with mallet as the bolt is being tightened, making sure Flange of Head and Body of Housing are being grabbed by both Head Cover and Housing Body. 22- Continue to tighten bolt striking clamp until retainers of the clamp have secured Flanges of both Head Cover and Housing Body. 23- Filter is now ready for service. 24- Close Bleeder valve on Head Cover. 25- Slow open valve on the outlet side of the Filter Housing. The pressure gauge should rise to approx. 40-45 PSI. 26- Position a shop rag under the bleeder valve, crack the Bleeder valve on the Head Cover to allow trapped air to vent off. When the air is replaced with water, close valve. 27- Check for any leaks around gasket. 28- Slowly open valve to the inlet side of the Filter Housing keeping arm to the back side of the cover and not over the Head Cover. The pressure gauge should rise to approx. 110 PSI. 29- Close Bypass valve and check the gaskets for leaks. 30- If any leaks are noticed, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TIGHTEN CLAMP BOLTS WITH HOUSING UNDER PRESSURE.
